What is a chakra?
a chakra is oneenergy center. In a perfectly healthy person, the chakras work in unison to create vital energy. Body, mind and spirit benefit from balanced chakras. Also, each chakra has its own symbol, color, and meaning.
The chakra system is a deep philosophical system that represents levels of consciousness. So it is the map of the architecture of your soul.– Anodea Judith, Mindvalley Chakra Healing Quest-Trainerin
The term "chakra" is also Sanskrit for'radial'. This refers to the rotating spherical energy center that forms a chakra. This energy is known by the ancestors as "Prana".
You may also recognize this word in other practices. This includesYogamiMeditation. "Pranayama" means breath control.
Where does the concept of chakra come from?
The chakra system originated between 1500 and 500 B.C. In India.Furthermore, the dates of each chakra have been recorded in one of the oldest and most valuable spiritual texts in human history - the Vedas.
How many chakras are there?
there are altogetherseven chakrasin the human body. They start at the end of the spinal cord and extend to the top of the head.
Each chakra is uniquely important and has its own function in the overall well-being of your body. So if some are out of sync, it can negatively affect your physical, mental, and spiritual health.
What are the 7 chakras?
Here you areseven chakrasand their corresponding numbers in order:
1. Oh Chakra Raíz: Muladhara
2. Oh Sakralchakra: Svadhisthana
3. The field of the solar plexus: Manipura
4. The Heart Chakra: Anahata
5. Oh Chakra da Garganta: Vishuddha
6. The Third Eye Chakra: Ajna
7. Das Kronenchakra: Sahasrara
In today's hectic and stressful world, fully balanced chakras are extremely rare. So don't be discouraged if you suspect something isn't quite right.
Now that you have an overview of the seven chakras, let's dive into each chakra, including the location of the chakras in the body.
the root chakra
Location:In the lower part of the coccyx, in the perineum in men and in the cervical area in women.
yoga posture:mountain pose, tree pose
The official name for this chakra, Muladhara, actually means "root" and "support."
The role of this chakra is to connect all the energy in your physical body to the earth itself. In other words, this chakra "grounds" you.
They areroot chakraIt is also connected to everything you need to survive. This includes breathing, eating, sleeping, and physical safety.
When your first chakra is balanced, you will feel a deep sense of peace. You'll feel secure knowing that all your important needs are taken care of. Because of this, this is where the healing of the whole body begins.
Location:In the pelvic area, a few centimeters below the navel.
yoga posture:Revolved Triangle Pose, Goddess Pose
Therefore, the sacral chakra, also known as the "place of self", has to do with your creative identity as a human being.
This chakra helps you enjoy your life here on earth. It is the energy that motivates you to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Above all, pleasurable activities such as sex, artistic activities and good food.
When your second chakra is balanced, you truly appreciate all the good things in life. Therefore, you will enjoy them without going overboard.
The solar plexus chakra
Location:On the stomach: about 2 to 3 inches above the belly button. The Manipura energy center can also be translated as "the shining jewel". This is because this is the chakra you are in.trustand personal power coexist in harmony.
yoga posture:Boat Pose - Downward Facing Dog
Many call thatsolar plexusChakra also the 'Warrior Chakra'. This is because this is by far the most powerful supporting chakra for bravery and boundary setting.
For example, you can probablyphysically feelYour angry energy when you're angry. You will feel when to defend yourself. For better or worse, it is the right arm of your fight and flight response!
When balanced, high self-esteem and self-esteem are additional byproducts.
the heart chakra
Location:In the chest, in and around the heart space.
yoga posture:Low lunge, camel pose
Interestingly, the Sanskrit term for theheart chakratranslates to the state of being "unharmed."
Therefore, when you experience feelings of love, compassionand sweetness... is the energy center you connect to.
In all its translations, this chakra basically has to do with love. Love is the most healing frequency of all. When your heart chakra is balanced, you can feel love and empathy for yourself and others as well.
the throat chakra
Location:Right in the middle of your neck.
yoga posture:Simple pose (with corner), supported shoulder stand
This chakra carries the meaning of the words "very pure" and helps you speak literally. Because of this, you will do it smoothly, with confidence and authenticity.
Also, this chakra is your official seat of self-expression. EITHERKehlchakraIt also expresses your personal preferences, beliefs and values.
When you are balanced, you speak the truth openly and lovingly. Also, express yourself in the way you feel most aligned at any given time.
In other words, there is nothing that enlightens and inspires those around you like an open throat chakra.
The third eye chakra
Location:Between your eyebrows, to the pineal gland of your brain.
yoga posture:Delphin Pose, Lotus Pose
the notoriousthird eye chakra, Ajna, roughly translated means "beyond wisdom."
Because this mystical energy center opens you to expanded states of consciousness. They go far beyond the five senses and the material world in which we live. Extrasensory perception, intuition, and psychic abilities come from the third eye. This is due to the small but extremely powerful pineapple-shaped gland in the brain. He stands just behind Ajna and is called 'pineal gland'.
Also, many ancient cultures were aware of the presence of the third eye long before brain imaging. They believed it was our human connection to the divine.
When your third eye is balanced, you will feel in tune with the physical and spiritual worlds. You can also connect to yoursEgoand your soul
the crown chakra
Location:Above your head, resting on the crown of your head.
yoga posture:Corpse Pose, Lotus Pose
According to most tantric yoga traditions, the last chakra means "thousand petals." This refers to its beautiful symbology loaded with flower petals.
Sahasrara is nothing but pure consciousness that connects you with the universe. This complete universe is also known as "Om". And it's literally nothing personal...
When it comes to the conceptthe crown chakrawe all have in common. Every human being, every animal, every plant, every ecosystem, every planet and every star has the same vital energy. It is also important to note that this chakra exists beyond your unique ego. It is your connection to "God" whatever you see below.
Achieving a balanced crown chakra is the goal of any spiritual practice. Also, it's not easy to do. Once you are truly balanced, you have achieved enlightenment. In other words, you discover the secret of who you really are. Transcendent suffering is known in thebuddhist traditionlike "nirvana".
Why are the chakras blocked?
The chakras can become clogged and cause numerous problems in our daily lives.
Imagine a beautiful stream flowing in a mountain forest. Undisturbed, the water flows down from the top of the mountain. It will eventually lead to the sea. That is the natural course of the water, right? But now imagine that due to an extreme storm, the biggest and heaviest rock you have ever seen falls into the stream. You are now blocking the flow.
Due to this, the flow stops and cannot reach any ground under the stone.
This is a perfect analogy for how the chakras work, as flowing water reflects the flow of energy through the energy centers.
The giant rocks of life that can block our chakras are:
- work stress
- financial turmoil
- poor diet
- sexual oppression
- Low self-esteem
- repressed anger
- obstinacy and tunnel vision
It's a chicken and egg scenario, of course. Whether work stress comes first or root chakra blockage comes first... it's all a mystery.
Our chakra expert Anodea Judith adds that these blockages are like knots that form as a result of resistance, also known as our "no." "These knots are your "no" where you can't, can't or don't have... and you want to turn all those no's into a "yes"! for you in your lifeAnodea said.
Why are several chakras blocked together?
What becomes clear is that once a chakra is misaligned, it tends to have a ripple effect on the surrounding chakras. While the chakras can become blocked individually, they can also become blocked in groups.
For example, let's say your partner has seriously crossed the line. They destroyed your self esteem with something they said. This clogs your solar plexus chakra. Also, you are likely to feel betrayed, less valued, and perhaps less caring toward them. This is a classic example of a heart chakra blockage.
It's two blocks for the price of one!
As you can see, while the chakras are powerful beyond measure, they are also very sensitive to all of your human experiences.
Fortunately, just as the chakras can be blocked and closed, they can also be cleared and opened.
